IHHA Welcomes Nkululeko Gobhozi as Chair and Wang Tongjun as Vice-Chair for 2026–2028

Following a highly productive week in South Africa, the International Heavy Haul Association (IHHA) is pleased to announce Nkululeko Gobhozi as Chair for the 2026–2028 term, together with Mr. Wang Tongjun, President of the China Railway Society, as Vice-Chair.

The week brought together leaders and experts from across the global heavy haul community for valuable technical discussions, knowledge exchange, and collaboration. Our sincere thanks to Transnet, SAHHA, and the entire South African team for their outstanding organization and warm hospitality.

With more than 22 years of engineering and leadership experience, Nkululeko brings strong technical expertise and strategic vision to IHHA. As Chief Engineer at Transnet, and through leadership roles within SAHHA and IHHA, he has built extensive experience in systems engineering, programme management, digital strategy, and complex systems integration.

Together, Nkululeko and Mr. Wang bring significant experience, leadership, and commitment to IHHA as we begin this new chapter for the Association.
