The International Heavy Haul Association (IHHA) is pleased to confirm that the 14th International Heavy Haul Association Conference will be held in Perth, Australia, from 21–24 June 2027, hosted in partnership with the Australasian Railway Association (ARA).

The theme for Perth 2027 is “World-Class Performance: Driving Innovation in Heavy Haul”. This theme reflects Australia’s global leadership in heavy haul rail and shines a spotlight on how innovation, digital transformation, and collaboration are reshaping the future of the industry.

Perth is a fitting stage for IHHA 2027, anchored in a region recognised for heavy haul excellence. Across four days, delegates can expect a strong technical program alongside the connections that define IHHA, with networking, social events and activities that showcase local capability. This will include technical tours in and around Perth, plus an optional post-conference Pilbara study tour to experience world-leading heavy haul systems and operations first-hand.
